Extend the Harvest with the Seed Circle Library

August 2, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

“Nature abhors a vacuum”, so put your garden beds to work beyond the usual summer growing season. Join Master Gardener Keith Monahan to learn what (& when) to plant for harvesting into late fall, winter, and even the following spring & summer. Topics include:  planting for fall & winter harvest, protecting plants from cold weather, plants that are improved by winter, over-wintering a beloved pepper plant, and planting garlic and shallots for summer harvest. The South Jersey Seed Circle Library will be on hand with seeds that can be planted in your garden now.  At the end of the program there will be an opportunity to participate in a group order of seed garlic for planting in the fall.
