Rain Garden Workshop and Planting

Come join the Crafts Creek Spring Hill Brook Watershed Association, Burlington County Parks System, the Bordentown City Green Team, and the AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador Program as we plant a rain garden in Crystal Lake Park to reduce the effects of stormwater! You will learn what makes a rain garden different, how you can plant your own rain garden, the importance of green infrastructure and native plants, and actually help us plant and construct our rain garden!

When and where?

May 3 at 1 PM at Crystal Lake Park, 2401 Axe Factory Rd, Bordentown, NJ 08505.  There will be people to direct you from the parking lot to the planting site. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign in.

Who?

You! Everyone is welcome to learn and help! Children under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring?

Yourself and a friend! We will provide all materials but you are welcome to bring your own work gloves.  Please bring your own water bottle, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (we will be gardening) and closed toed shoes.  If you want to bring a notebook to take gardening notes you may.
