2nd Annual South Jersey Community Garden Tour

Come join us on this free & family friendly event! We’ll begin the day at our Williamstown Organic Community Garden, head to the Gloucester Township Community Garden at the Gabreil Daveis Tavern, then to the Community Garden at Crows Woods, Haddonfield, and end our day at the amazing Plant-A-Patch Community Garden at the Barclay Farmstead, in Cherry Hill, NJ!

Lunch ‘n Learn: Milkweed & Monarchs!

Join us for a FREE “Lunch ‘n Learn” on Wednesday, June 13th from 12-1:30pm at the CLHI Community Room in North Camden! Learn from local experts about planting and caring for milkweed in your urban and community gardens to support struggling monarch populations and introduce your children to BUTTERFLIES! Also learn about the threats to monarchs, including climate change and loss of habitat.

This event is FREE but please RSVP in this event. LUNCH IS PROVIDED by our generous partner, Sustainable Cherry Hill!

This “Lunch ‘n Learn” is being hosted by Camden Lutheran Housing, Inc, the Camden Block Supporter InitiativeSustainable Cherry Hill, and Food & Water Watch – New Jersey.

Sustainability Speaker Series (S3)

Each meeting focuses on a different topic around sustainability. For the June 2018 meeting, Campbell’s Soup Company will be discussing all their efforts and success with food waste reduction. A representative that will be discussing what the Camden community as a whole is doing to meet sustainability goals. Event is free. Kirkwood Lake Cleanup

Join us for a cleanup of Kirkwood Lake. We will be cleaning up along the lake side and afterwards we will talk about the historical and natural aspects of the area. We will meet at Kirkwood Lake County Park in Lindenwold, NJ

Cooper River Sunset Walk

Join us for a sunset walk around the Cooper River. We will be talking about the natural and historical aspects of the area as we stroll around the river. We will meet at the Camden County Environmental Center in Cherry Hill NJ.

Sustainable Cherry Hill Earth Festival

Celebrate, Learn, and Grow to mark this year’s Earth Festival theme: Reduce Plastic – Fantastic! Our rain-or-shine event at historic Croft Farm, starts with the 8 a.m. Family Fun Bike Ride (register now); then the festival across three acres of farmstead at 10 a.m. We’ll have free entertainment; healthy food choices for purchase, sustainable tips, crafts, products, services and more. School groups will display our Earth Festival theme and more focusing on a sustainable world.

Bring your family, friends and neighbors to this free, annual event. While parking is available in this park setting, we strongly encourage you to consider biking to our Earth Festival – save money, the planet and get exercise! We’ll have free, secure bike valet parking supported by the Courier Post.
