“Dark Money” Movie Screening

December 15, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Tri-County (Burlington, Camden, Gloucester) American Promise Association is hosting a free showing of the 2018 film DARK MONEY.  The 2018 midterms were the most expensive in history with $5.2 billion of political spending! NJ 3 had a small insight into that problem via the congressional race costs in NJ 3 and the money in the Senate race of Menendez v Hugin. If you want to learn more about this assault on our democracy, join us for a free screening of the documentary by Kimberly Reed released in theaters this summer. The story of dark money from corporate interests invading Montana politics after Citizens United is told along with the revealing investigation of the source and efforts toward solution.

Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at 1 PM

Tri-County American Promise will give a short introduction to the scope of the problem of dark money before the film and there will be a Q & A afterwards.
